An immersive, experience-based sailing training designed for those who want to learn by sailing, not by sitting in a classroom.
The ISSA Sailing Academy Flotilla Training is a structured yet inspiring learning journey, where real sea miles, real conditions and real decision-making become the classroom. Over three consecutive weekly routes, participants train, sail and evolve under the guidance of certified instructors, gaining confidence, seamanship and practical knowledge required for safe inshore sailing.
This program follows the ISSA Inshore Sailing standards and is suitable for beginners, aspiring skippers and sea lovers who want to build solid foundations through hands-on experience.
Training takes place:
On board, during daily navigation and maneuvers
In ports, through briefings, debriefings and real-case scenario discussions
The flotilla format allows participants to learn in a supportive and motivating environment, combining independence with constant supervision and mentoring.
Participants may attend with or without certification.
For those aiming to certify, the ISSA Inshore Sailing License is available, depending on the selected route.
Dates: 18 – 25 April
Distance: ~200 NM
This route introduces participants to the fundamentals of inshore sailing within a flotilla environment. Emphasis is placed on basic boat handling, sail trim, navigation awareness and teamwork on board.

Distance: ~200 NM
A step forward in confidence and seamanship. Route 2 focuses on passage planning, weather interpretation, harbor approaches and increased responsibility in navigation and onboard decision-making.

The most demanding and rewarding route of the program. Participants apply everything learned so far, operating with increased autonomy while refining seamanship, navigation confidence and skipper mindset.
